For the exterior main panels and bottom, you can use any type of bag-making fabric such as canvas, vinyl, or cotton. For the fap, lighter materials like thin vinyl or cotton are recommended. For the lining, I suggest cotton fabric. In addition you need fusible fleece, medium-weight interfacing, and optional light-weight interfacing.

• City Backpack – modern, casual, and practical.
• Convertible Bag – thanks to the zipper-separable straps, Melody can be worn either as a backpack or as a sling/shoulder bag. This way it adapts perfectly to your needs and your day.
• As a little extra, this Add-On also shows you a new way to sew the exterior bottom – giving your Melody an additional look and even more variety.

The detailed, well-illustrated step-by-step instructions will guide you safely through every detail. This project is perfect for advanced sewists – but ambitious beginners with a bit of patience will also be able to achieve great results with the detailed instructions.
