Burlap, also known as jute, is made from plant fibers and therefore totally biodegradable. The fabric is very soft and smooth, protects against UV radiation and absorbs moisture well. Furthermore, Burlap is antistatic and cutaneous tolerant for people with a sensitive skin. Burlap can be spun together with almost all animal, synthetic and plant fibers. The fabric absorbs colors easily and reacts very well to various dyes. The applicability of burlap is huge: besides the classical sacks, it is also very suitable for clothing, shoes, rug making, ropes, furniture and even for parts of airplanes.
