Gabardine
Gabardine is suitable for elegant business suits, trouser suits and women's skirt suits. Gabardine has a typical diagonal structure, which is originated by weaving. This structure is determinating the cutting of clothing. Gabardine can shrink, when it is made of pure cottong. Refined gabardine doesn't hardly shrink. To be sure, please wash gabardine before processing.
Maintenance of gabardine fabric
- Synthetic gabardine, gabardine with cottong and other fabrics: 40 degrees delicate
- Pure cotton gabardine: 60 degrees
- Wool gabardine, jackets, blazers or suits of gabardine: dry cleaning, to protect from loosing shape.
Depending on the quality of the gabardine, use different ironing temperatures:
- wool mixed fabrics, pure wool and pure cotton gabardine: with steam iron on low temperature; to prevent shining, please use an ironing cloth
- synthetic gabardine and gabardine with spandex: iron with lowest temperature
