The Inka baby, children’s, and adult hat (sizes 33-65) can be sewn with or without ears. Without ears, it can be worn as a reversible hat. The cat ears can be transformed into dinosaur spikes. The pattern is suitable for both summer and winter and is ideal for beginners.
Sewing difficulty: Easy, requires some experience
Here’s what you’ll receive:
- A4 printable pattern for assembling and gluing together layers (in PDF format)
- A2 printable pattern for use with a projector
- Detailed step-by-step instructions (in PDF format)
Materials needed:
The hat is designed for stretchy fabrics such as jersey, French terry, fleece, sweatshirt fleece, knits, or ribbed jersey, but can also be sewn from boiled wool. You will need approximately 25 cm of fabric for the baby hat and approximately 33 cm of fabric for the standard size, assuming a fabric width of 140 cm.
Optional: For very thin fabric, you can reinforce the ears with interfacing or fill them with washable fiberfill.
