And this time around, we went a simpler route with a faux fly. You can just pull up your trousers and go with the elastic waistband. And the length? You can alter it in a flash. Go for it!

The Freja trouser design is so simple that just about any fabric will work. From stiffer (poplin, denim, ...) to (semi) fluid drape, e.g. viscose (crepe), woollen crepe, gabardine, satin, lyocell, and velvet – you can’t go wrong. But why limit yourself to just wovens? Knit fabrics, e.g. French terry, sweatshirt fabric, and jacquard, also work well.
